Testing Events

Before deploying a solution it is a good idea to verify that the links you have created between the event value/status control and any presets or controls are working as expected. The simplest method of testing events is to manually activate and deactivate the event using the Active Trigger and Inactive Trigger buttons. See Manually Trigger Events for details.

A more laborious method is to alter the PC or HAL clocks so that the event will trigger based on their scheduled date/time. The PC clock is changed via the built in Windows dialogs and the HAL time is altered via the Adjust HAL Date/Time. The Adjust HAL Date/Time dialog can be accessed from the HAL properties dialog, or the Event Manager dialog. Adjusting HAL time is only possible while connected to the HAL.
