Copy/Paste Events

The Event Manager Copy and Paste buttons are provided for placing the selected event's settings on the clipboard and then applying those saved settings to any other selected events of the same type; toggle event to toggle event, command to command, etc.

The copy and paste functionality is helpful if you have a number of events already setup and linked and you want to modify all of them to have new recurrence settings similar to another existing event while at the same time leaving all existing control links intact. Another common scenario would be to copy event settings from one Halogen configuration to another.

To copy an event to the clipboard:

1. Click the Processing tab to open the Processing Workspace.
2. On the Processing Workspace toolbar, click Events to open the Event Manager dialog box.
3. Click somewhere in the row of the event you want to copy into the clipboard to select it.
4. In the lower right corner of the dialog box, click the Copy button to place the event settings on the clipboard.

To paste clipboard settings to an event:

1. Click the Processing tab to open the Processing Workspace.
2. On the Processing Workspace toolbar, click Events to open the Event Manager dialog box.
3. Click in the row of the event you want to paste settings to. For the Paste operation to be enabled the type of the selected event must match the event type in the clipboard.
4. In the lower right corner of the dialog box, click the Paste button to update the selected event's settings with those event settings on the clipboard.
