Manually Trigger Events

There are two common scenarios where manual control of an event's activation state would be useful. The first is in testing linking between event controls and other parts of the Halogen software, and the other is providing end users with the option to start or stop an event outside of the events regularly scheduled times. Two linkable command buttons, Active Trigger and Inactive Trigger are provided for manual control of each event.

To manually activate an event

Click the Active Trigger button, or if the button has been linked, actuate the linked control to activate the event. If the event is of type toggle or selector the event will End At the next scheduled date & time or it will End After the specified duration, depending on how the event is configured.

To manually deactivate an event

Click the Inactive Trigger button, or if the button has been linked, actuate the linked control to deactivate the event. After deactivation the event will re-activate at the next scheduled date & time.
