Conference Room Processor Room Matrix Mixer Block

The Room Matrix Mixer determines the mix available for Room Out, Record Out and Reference Out. Available inputs to the mixer are Local Auto Mixer output, Local AV Mixer output, From Far End Mixer output and Distributed Program Bus Selection. Room Out and Record out may be a unique mix of these available sources. The Reference Out mix always follows the Room Out mix minus the Local Auto Mixer signal. Other than the special behaviors of the Reference Out mix, properties for this block are the same as the standalone Matrix Mixer block.

note: The purpose of this mixer is to determine the mix for Room Out and Record Out and ensure that the Reference Out follows the Room Out mix.

Room Processor Properties (Mixer Block)

To access this block, locate the relevant Conference Room Combine processor block on your Processing Map and open its properties. Click the Room Processors tab. Locate the relevant Room Processor block and open its properties. The Room Matrix Mixer is a child block of the Room Processor block and appears as shown above. From here, you can open the Room Matrix Mixer block properties by double-clicking the block or hovering and clicking the properties icon that appears in the upper right of the block's title bar.

The Record Out signal consists of a unique mix of the four available input sources. You can use this signal for recording an event or supplying audio to an overflow room. You could also use this signal in conjunction with the Room Out to provide one zone with local speech reinforcement and another without.

The Room Out signal also consists of a unique mix of the four available input sources.

The Reference Out tracks the Room Out minus the Local Auto Mix signal and may not be adjusted independently. The Room Matrix Mixer dialog shows Reference Out controls in half-tone to indicate that you may not adjust them independently. Displaying reference controls in this way also clearly shows that the block applies identical settings to both the Room Out and the Reference Out. When using linked level controls for a room, you should link to Level controls in the Room Matrix Mixer to ensure that Room Out and Reference Out track.

While labeled Record, Reference and Room outputs, these mixes may be used in variety of ways. For more details on use cases, please refer to an Introduction to Halogen Conferencing.

note: The signal path through the block is pre-wired and cannot be changed.
