Conferencing Room Processor Paging Zone Block

The Paging Zone block creates an output from the HAL Paging System. This block provides the audio processing and control required to duck program audio and insert page audio into the signal path of both the Room Out and Reference Out mixes. In addition, Paging Zones from all constituent base rooms combine when rooms combine as shown below:

note: In the Room Processor for a combined room, the Paging Zones from all the constituent base rooms are combined in the rooms' Room Processor Paging Zone block, meaning a page to any of the zones is sent to all the zones in the combined room.

Properties for this block are the same as the standalone Paging Zone block except that it ducks and introduces a page to both Room Out and Reference Out signals and includes an additional output meter for the reference signal as shown below:

To access this block, locate the relevant Room Combine Processor block on your Processing Map and open its properties. Click the Room Processors tab. Locate the relevant Room Processor block and open its properties. This Paging Zone block, which is a child block of the Room Processor block, appears. From here, you can open the Paging Zone block properties by double-clicking the block or hovering and clicking the properties icon that appears in the upper right of the block's title bar.

For more detail on the use cases for a tracking Paging Zone, see an Introduction to Conferencing.

note: The signal path through the block is pre-wired and cannot be changed.
