Presets are composed primarily of blocks—processing blocks (and/or remote hardware controls). With the exception of control links, a block is the most granular object that you can add to a preset. In other words, you cannot add an individual block parameter to a preset. You must add the whole block and all its parameter values.
When you add a block to a preset, all of its current parameter values as well as the current state of its control links are saved to the preset. Therefore, you should confirm that your blocks are configured appropriately before (or after) adding them to the preset. When you activate (or assert) the preset, the working values of the system blocks referenced by the preset are immediately set to the values saved to the preset.
Following are several different procedures for adding one or more blocks to a preset. You can use any one of them, as the end result is the same.
In the Processing Workspace toolbar, click Presets to open the All Presets dialog box.
tip: You can use this same procedure to add multiple blocks to the preset at once. To select multiple blocks, simply highlight the relevant blocks by clicking and dragging around them or by clicking each block while pressing the Shift key. Then drag one of the highlighted blocks into the preset. All the other highlighted blocks are added as well.
In the Processing Workspace toolbar, click Presets to open the All Presets dialog box.
