Deleting a Hardware Device from a Configuration

To Delete a hardware device from a Halogen configuration:

1. Open the appropriate configuration file.

   From the File menu in the application toolbar, click Open: In the dialog box that opens, browse for and then select the configuration file that you want. Click the Open button.

2. Click the Hardware tab to open the Hardware Workspace.

3. Right-click on the device you want to delete.

note: Delete EXPs from the EXP Navigation Panel, RADs and DRs from the Hardware Map.

4. From the context menu that appears, click Delete. The device disappears from the workspace.

Alternate methods:

• Click the device and then press the Delete key.
• Click the down arrow on the far right side of the port on which the device is connected. In the dialog box that displays (in which you can choose a device model), click None.
• You can also delete an EXP by hovering your mouse over a device in the EXP Navigation Panel and clicking on the red 'x' that appears at the far right:

warning! Deleting a hardware device causes all references to it in the Processing Workspace (in control links, presets, and so on) to be deleted.
