Available EXP Models

The following EXP models are currently available for the HAL1x. For the most current list of EXP models, see the Rane website.

EXP1x

This device adds the following additional capability to a HAL1x system:

  • 8 Remote Audio Device (RAD) ports
  • You can install a Digital Remote (DR) in any RAD port, so the EXP1x includes support for additional DRs when needed.
EXP2x

This device adds the following additional capability to a HAL1x system:

  • 32 Dante Digital Audio Inputs
  • 32 Dante Digital Audio Outputs
EXP3x

This device adds the following additional capability to a HAL1x system:

  • 8 Analog Line Outputs
  • 2 Remote Audio Device (RAD) ports
  • 6 Digital Remote (DR) ports — Can add up to 2 more by plugging them into the RAD ports
  • 8 Logic Outputs
  • DSP processing for 8 zones, including:
    • Zone Processor - with selection and ducking of up to 32 channels of background music from the Distributed Program Bus
    • Emergency Zone
    • Compressor
    • 5-band Parametric EQ
EXP5x

This device adds the following additional capability to a HAL1x system:

  • 12 Mic/Line/Line-Plus Inputs
  • 4 Digital Remote (DR) ports
  • DSP processing for 12 inputs, including:
    • Compressor
    • 5-band Parametric EQ
EXP7x

This device adds the following additional capability to a HAL1x system:

  • DSP processing for 8 channels of Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC)
