The Sine Wave block generates a sine wave at the specified frequency and amplitude.
The Sine Wave block is useful for troubleshooting audio wiring (polarity and broken wires) and for measuring audio output level with digital multi-meters or oscilloscopes.
note: The Sine Wave block is muted by default.
UI Element | Purpose |
---|---|
Output node | Connection point for wiring the sine wave output |
UI Element | Purpose |
---|---|
Frequency |
Manual control for setting the frequency of the sine wave. Range is 20 Hz to 20000 Hz. Default = 1000 Hz |
Amplitude |
Specifies the amplitude of the sine wave output. Range is -100 dBr to 0 dBr. Default = -30 dBr |
Output Meter | Indicates the sine wave signal’s rms and peak amplitudes in dBFS and dBr. The peak is always 3 dB above the rms level due to the sine wave’s constant 3 dB crest factor. |
Mute |
Mutes the block's output Default = Checked (muted) |
